The G Grandkids...all together, and all cooperating. This doesn't happen often, or for long...thank heavens for high speed shutters and digital cameras!

The kids got to join me on a photo session at Kiwanis Park so that we could head out on the road to Calgary right afterward. Of course they had to pose for a shot or two :)

Out of nowhere, a flock of dozens of these little birds appeared in our yard! This photo only shows about 6 of them, but they were EVERYWHERE! They were chasing a swarm of tiny insects who also came out of nowhere. Weird, wild stuff!

Birthday breakfast for our two August birthday girls! And what a birthday gift - a second round of immunizations, too. Blech. But at least we started the day off right with a breakfast of champions at Dennys!

TJ channeled her inner photographer by capturing some amazing wildlife shots for a contest in a magazine. Fingers crossed that she has the winning entry!

Date night! This time we chose our favorite Asian restaurant - the BEST food ever!

The girls have Archery on the brain these days. They have been practicing their shooting with a dollar-store bow and suction cup arrows, with a target taped on the sliding glass doors. So funny to watch!

While waiting to see "Total Recall", Lyndon couldn't help but post with the incomparable James Bond. I don't think Lyndon stands a chance against that gun! Can't wait for that movie to come out.

Free admittance to the local outdoor pool means a LOT of laughs with good friends in the summer time! This time our friends the H family and the D family joined in the fun!

I find the open prairie in the summer incredibly beautiful and free. The endless skies and the fields of golden wheat just open my heart up to possibility! LOVE IT!

Time to shop for your Christmas gift from Grandma and Grandpa. They sure wish they could have been here to celebrate with you. When you picked out this Mermaid toy, all I could think was, "this is just SO you!"

One of my favorite Sunday destinations - the Legislative Building in the summer. Amazing. Such care is taken to create these beautiful gardens and I could spend hours here, just gazing. I love loving here!

JJ's pal "A" wasn't able to make it to her birthday party, so when we popped by for a visit, she had a gift for JJ to open. Now that is a great friend!

Does that look delicious, or what? Tamber and her friend helped to cook this delicious italian sausage soup, using some of the fresh basil that Tamber has been growing as part of a YW Value Project! It was amazing.

You don't have to go far to have a fun campout! The driveway is just far enough away, and hey, the bathrooms are close!

This was a first - while out on a date night with my husband, we saw this fun little box that sits at each table, and you can turn it on to hear the sound from any of the TVs around the restaurant! You can turn up the volume as high or low as you'd like and you can still visit while watching. Cool! (This was actually taken Saturday night - we don't go out for dates on Sunday :)

Helping out with the yard work! Many hands makes things sure go faster, and we got a LOT done!

Spent today making up some cute treat bags for the guests of our two birthday girls! One wanted a pirate party, and the other wanted a monkey party! I think they turned out so cute.
