An epic Halloween with a Primary party at the church, then trick or treating as a family! This year we had Merida, Rapunzel, and a cute black cat. TJ was dressed as a nerd and helped to hand out candy, though we didn't get many kids coming trick-or-treating at the house this year. We sure hauled in the candy, though!

Day 304
A special mother-daughter day out to celebrate TJ growing up! It was nice to spend the day shopping, eating out, and taking in a movie. I sure love the young woman she is becoming!

Day 303
My responsible little safety patrol girl! She loves being able to help her classmates and others cross safely after school - and she always chooses the farthest street because it's the busiest and most dangerous street for the kids to cross. So proud of her!

Day 302
It was amazing to be able to take part in the dedication of the Calgary temple via a broadcast. It was also the day that Grandpa was set apart as a sealer in the temple, and Grandma and Grandpa were both called as temple workers. A glorious, wonderful day!

Day 297
Friends laughing away while they sew covers for their Personal Progress books and journals. Building skills AND relationships is a huge part of what the Young Women's Program is all about!

Day 295
I love to read, but when a book offers me something to take away - long
after I put the book down - it is something that is precious to me.
These are a few of the books that I have been able to carry with me, in
some form :)

Day 294
Some days I look at my girls and I think about how young and small and sweet they are. But then there are moments when I suddenly notice how big they are getting and how soon they will be grown up and moving on. Then I want to hold on to them, so tightly, and never let them go. I had no idea how difficult it would be to see them growing, and how much I want to hang on to their childhood and make every day count. I love these little ladies of mine.

Day 293
A wonderful surprise visit from a great missionary who served, here. It was weird to see Eric without his suit and tie, but it was a lot of fun to hang out with him for a while. Thanks for thinking of us!

Day 292
The only thing better than being invited to a Birthday party in October, is when that birthday party is a dress-up one! Good-bye JJ...hello, Rapunzel!

Day 288
Where we worship. Three hours every Sunday spent in this building, along with several hours during the week at activities and meetings. We are grateful to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

Day 287
Isn't it romantic? Our children surprised us with a "glow-in-the-dark" meal to remember! We opted for the vintage ginger ale and some raisins. Delish! Too bad we couldn't actually see who we were dining with, but the entertainment (bum shaking galore) was priceless :)

Day 286
The snow has all melted away, so it's time for some yard work. These two took on the job of raking leaves....then the serious job of jumping in said leaves, throwing said leaves, and laughing uncontrollably :) Job well done!

Day 285
Sharing a birthday with some fabulous family friends. Yes, the "Hello Kitty" theme went over well with our girls!

Day 284
Eek! It was inevitable, but always a surprise when the first snow falls and sticks around a while. I hope it doesn't stay too long, though. We need to get at least get through Halloween with clear sidewalks, first!

Day 283
When the stomach flu hits, and you get stuck overnight in a hotel with the kids, it's the perfect time to get your goof on!

Day 282
Leaving Calgary also means leaving these glorious mountains. We sure miss seeing them every day, but home again it is!

Day 281
A creative way to keep the kids interested in General Conference - whenever a speaker says a certain word, or talks about a subject - they get an M&M of that color! It worked like a charm - even for Grandpa!

Day 280
Sisters are wonderful gifts, and when they are a friend, too - it is even more special!Loved spending the day with T and her family!

Day 279
What an amazing, beautiful, wonderful day! We toured the new Calgary Temple as a family, with grandma and grandpa, and Uncle Blaine and Auntie Li! The building was incredibly gorgeous and ornate, but the Spirit we felt within it's walls was more powerful and inspiring. Congrats, Calgary! It was truly a monument to the Lord.

Day 278
It was AMAZING seeing my gal pal, (and cousin by marriage) J! No matter how long between visits, it's always like it was just yesterday we were hanging out and crafting together! Love this girl!

Day 277
We welcomed little baby Emmet into the family today. What a joy having nephews is! I get to have my baby boy snuggles and loves, without having had any sons myself. I loved, loved, loved being there while he was so new!
