I attempted to make my mother's cabbage rolls and they were a success! A couple of things I would change (as I guessed at my mom's recipe) but all-in-all, they were super delicious. I'll be making these again soon, besides - it is NOT Christmas, for me, until I've had cabbage rolls!

Surprised the girls with a night at the movies to see "Rise of the Guardians"! Cute and meaningful story - we had a great time.

Day 344

Skyping with grandma and grandpa (who live two Provinces away) for the first time! How amazing is technology?!

The Primary children sang Christmas songs at our ward Christmas party - they were so adorable. The party was well attended and the food was delish. It's always a great time.

Getting prepped to record a video for their cousins. Crazy singing and dancing - here we come!

Pajama day at school! Yay for bed head and not having to get dressed for a whole day!

A beautiful and uplifting Young Women In excellence program. We focused on the temple and the blessings found there, as well as heard from the Young Women about the Personal Progress goals they have been accomplishing. A very spiritually uplifting evening. I loved it.

A twist on our yearly tradition! Instead of decorating one gingerbread house, the girls each got to decorate their own! Big time fun, especially because they also shared the evening with family friends.

We made our own pizzas using biscuit dough and toppings. They were HOT but YUM, YUM, YUMMY!

Some down time playing Christmas carols on the piano by the Christmas tree.

The magic of putting up the Christmas tree and decorations is always there, every year. I think we must have decorated in record time, this year, and we all loved the results. Christmas, we are ready for you!

B rocked the 6-story climbing wall at Lyndon's work Christmas party at the science center! She made it to the top in record time, and wowed everyone watching. She loves it and certainly has a talent for it!

Made some of this gorgeous crusty peasant bread for the first time and LOVED it! The best part? NO KNEADING! I'll be making this again, really soon.

The snow is still new enough for me to find it breathtakingly beautiful. But ask me again in March when I'm finally sick and tired of it!

Starting to save boxes for Christmas wrapping! Fun to anticipate all of the good times, but it sure is making a mess of my craft room!

Lyndon got into the spirit of Christmas by decorating his office space! Can you hear the jingle bells now?

One of those modern conveniences that I have a love/hate relationship with. I love having nice, wrinkle-free clothes, but I DETEST ironing. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it, too!

A chilly day at the temple! At least we can leave the cold and wind outside and find refuge inside it's doors.

After a hugely successful mini session blitz, I have been spending a LOT of one-on-one time with this laptop of mine. Me and Photoshop? We're tight. Time to get back to work!

Agribition is back, and this year JJ's class went on a field trip! Lyndon was the lucky parent volunteer and the kids had a blast! Especially around the HUGE farm machinery. Good times.

The Christmas trees are up and lit at Lyndon's work downtown. I think the Christmas spirit is creeping in and it's not even December, yet! I think I'll give in. I love the world at Christmas time.

More snow. It's been an unbelievable month of snow, snow, snow! I wonder how much will be here by Christmas!

So fun!! My very first interview for a podcast! The fabulous Melissa Shanhun interviewed me for a podcast on her website "Digital Scrapbooking HQ" and I was SO nervous. Superstore is giving out HUGE poinsettias with a minimum grocery purchase. I don't normally start seeing these until December! Oh, well, bring on Christmas!

Science Fair day at the school, and TJ did her project on RockSlides. Her display was awesome, and I loved the working rockslide demonstration, too. I know she'll get a great mark!

Lyndon joined with the Young Men on their activity to play "Laser Tag". Rough life, I know, but someone's gotta do it!

Learning math by counting and making patterns with Smarties! Now that is what I call homework!

We braved the snowy roads to visit the museum on a cold and wintery holiday Monday. It had been a while since we had been there, and we enjoyed the time indoors. But what a gloriously beautiful winter day!
